About the Journal
Focus and Scope
HISAN - an official multidisciplinary Research, Peer-Reviewed Journal has been publishing articles of the concerned faculty researchers annually. The present 8th volume Journal is launched online in NepJOL, Indexed with DOI.
HISAN: Journal of History Association of Nepal aims to organize national and International seminars, workshop, talk program and conference. Also, the findings of the conducted academic programs are published for knowledge sharing. Regarding scope, it covers the dimension of history, historical perspective, cultural heritages and cultural perspective, tourism and its promotion, archaeology, explores hidden treasures and facts of all components, provide exposures to new energetic scholars, and affords opportunity, empowers scholars, explores the un-divulged issues of historical and cultural sites.
Publication Frequency
It has maintained the index of DIO. HISAN Journal is published annually, bi-annually and quarterly as per comfortable situation for publication. Articles from internal scholars, are being invited and pursued that share knowledge, information, methodology and modern research trends, development in history and culture.
Subscription and correspondence
Prices are fixed by the editorial board. Rs 500/ Institutional and Rs.250/ individual. Hard copies are being deposited in libraries, national and international organization, and soft copies are used by researchers, student, teachers and researchers.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Peer-Review Process
After calling for research papers from the authors, we collect and comment on their articles before the deadline. The articles are provided to the reviewers without the contributors’ names and with specified codes for the peer-review process. Two weeks are allotted for the review procedure. Each article is sent to two reviewers (double-blind review process) of the respective discipline. Accordingly, we collect and resend to the authors the reviewers’ comments. The comments set by reviewers should be addressed by contributors for publication procedure. Finally, the duly revised articles are accepted for publication in the HISAN: Journal of History Association of Nepal.
