About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Quest Journal of Management and Social Sciences (QJMSS) is a double-blind peer reviewed scholarly journal devoted to publishing high-quality papers using multidisciplinary approaches with a strong emphasis on emerging issues of business, economics, communication, management, finance, administration, English and social issues in half yearly basis. It was established in 2019 to accommodate qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods of research. It is not for profit and fully abides to UGC and QAA guidelines. Its main purpose is to disseminate ideas and research findings in various socio-economic development and managerial issues related to Nepal and other countries. It brings out scholarly research articles and other features. It intends to serve as an outlet with strong theoretical and empirical research for an intellectual forum for the communication of ideas among social scientists in Nepal and rest of the world.
Frequency of Publication
QJMSS is published on the half yearly basis (January-June and July-December).
Peer Review Process
The editor/managing editors determine whether the received manuscript fits the journal’s focus, scope and general framework. Any manuscript out of the journal’s scope is rejected at the desk review. The manuscript which is good but not in the QJMSS framework is requested to be sent again under the Journal’s framework and guidelines. The decision that the manuscript does not fit is provided to the authors along with an explanation and (optionally) a recommendation on alternative publication options. The selected manuscripts that clear the screening are sent to at least two experts for peer review. At least one reviewer is from outside the members listed in the editorial board.
QJMSS uses the double-blind system for peer review. Both reviewers and authors’ identity remains anonymous. QJMSS provides recommendations to the journal editors as to whether the manuscript should be rejected or accepted (with or without revisions). QJMSS considers all the feedback from peer reviews and makes an informed decision to accept or reject the manuscript.
QJMSS provides automated mail to the corresponding author regarding acknowledgement of their paper. Then it takes 7 days for the initial decision (editorial decisions whether to send the paper for review). The peer review process lasts 21 days to 45 days depending upon the reviewers’ time schedules. Authors’ are provided maximum 15 days to resubmit their manuscript by incorporating all the comments provided by the reviewers. Then after, respective reviewers are provided with the modified manuscript for an average of 7 days for final decision.
