Peer Review Process
The peer-review system employed by the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, published by the Research Management Cell of Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus, ensures a rigorous and fair evaluation process for all submitted articles. The details of the peer-review system are as follows:
- Reviewers per Paper: Each submitted article is typically reviewed by multiple experts in the relevant field. The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies assigns at least two per paper. These reviewers are selected based on their expertise and knowledge in the specific area addressed by the article. The selection of reviewers is made to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of the submission.
- Review Duration: The duration of the review process can vary depending on several factors, including the complexity of the article and the availability of reviewers. Typically, the review process takes around 4-8 weeks. However, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies strives to maintain efficiency while ensuring a thorough evaluation of each submission.
- Blind Review: The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies follows a double-blind review process. This means that the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential during the review process. This approach ensures an unbiased assessment of the submitted work.
- Final Decision: After the completion of the review process, the reviewers provide their feedback, comments, and recommendations on the article. Based on the reviewers' assessments, the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Editorial Board, makes the final decision regarding the inclusion of a submission for publication. The decision may be one of the following: acceptance without revisions, acceptance with minor revisions, acceptance with major revisions, or rejection. The decision is communicated to the authors along with the reviewers' comments to facilitate improvements or revisions if necessary.
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, published by the Research Management Cell of Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus, upholds high standards of academic integrity and quality. The peer-review system ensures that all submissions undergo a thorough evaluation by experts in the field, providing a fair and constructive assessment of the articles. The ultimate goal is to publish articles that contribute significantly to the interdisciplinary knowledge base and advance understanding in various domains of study.
