Abstract

विशेषगरी साविकका गण्डकी, लुम्बिनी र धौलागिरी अञ्चलतिर प्रचलित सालैजो गीत नेपालको मौलिक लोक गीत हो । सालैजो शब्द सालीज्यूबाट अपभ्रंश भएर सालैजो बनेको पाइन्छ । यो नेपालको अमूर्त साँस्कृतिक सम्पदाको रुपमा रहेको अत्यन्तै चर्चित लोक गायनको शैली मानिन्छ । लोकभावना समेटिएको सालैजो गीतको प्रभाव त्यहाँको लोक जीवन र संस्कृतिसँग प्रत्यक्ष जोडिएको हुन्छ ।यस आलेखमा विशेषगरी सालैजो गीतको साँस्कृतिक तथा,साङ्गीतिक महत्वका साथसाथै नेपाली समाजमा यो गीतले पार्ने  प्रभावका सम्बन्धमा चर्चा गरिएको् छ ।  यो लेखले सालैजो गीतका बारेमा जान्न चाहने अध्येताहरुको लागि एउटा रोचक सामाग्री बन्नुका  साथसाथै नेपाली लोक सङ्गीतका विद्यार्थीहरुलाई समेत प्रत्यक्ष फाइदा पु¥याउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ । पुस्तकालय तथा खोज विधिबाट यो विषयमा अध्ययन गरी यो विषयसँग सम्बन्धित पूर्व अध्येता, केही सालैजो गीतका गायकसँग वार्तालाप गरी सकेसम्म धेरै जानकारी दिने कोशिस गरिएको छ । धेरै नेपालीहरूले सालैजो गीतलाई अत्यन्त मन पराएको र यसबारेमा विश्वविद्यालय स्तरीय प्राज्ञिक लेख अत्यन्त कम पाइएकोले यो आलेख तयार गरिएको छ ।
