Spontaneous visual rhythm is ever present in both foreground and background due to sinuous shapes and flowing colorful form. The archetypal characters and contents in coherent colors convey the message of coexistence, meditation and peace. The artist is in the quest of harmony and order in the state of chaos. Friendly and comfortable color combination sustains the viewers' interest. The artwork creates its own unique world with multiple significances to explore. The fineness of form adds intensity to visual experience. The primitive textures arouse the tactile sensation giving way to the imaginative flight to the far distance in time and space. The unique visual compositions present the aesthetic blend of tradition and modernity, myths and mysticism, the individual self and the cosmos. The condensed visual form presents the retrospection, recollection of native cultural treasure and anticipation of prosperity and peace. Fine craftsmanship and minutely detailed works with precision give a clue to the artist's patience and dedication. Monumental figures of divinity decked with traditional decorum along with symbols like lotus and <em>vajra</em> suggest invisible and intangible dimensions of the reality. All the countries have their own logo to represent their country in visual form. In the context of each country in South Asia, a national logo is categorized as a national emblem. The national emblems of South Asian countries have different and unique meanings and are made with different cultural, religious, natural, and historical motifs and shapes. The main objective of this paper is to identify the visual aesthetic and symbolic significance of the national emblems of each South Asian country. The visual aesthetic contains elements of composition, color, shapes, and the essential rules of a logo, while the symbolic significance contains the symbolic meaning of each motif used for the entire logo of a South Asian country. This study finds that a country's culture, religion, and history should not be disconnected from the national emblem because the national emblem creates unique values for a country. A national emblem is like a mirror of a country, which represents the appropriate visual symbol of a country. It also explores the history of information sources before and after the development of paper and printing, highlighting the profound impact of these technologies on knowledge dissemination. Furthermore, it discusses the role of libraries in modern society, including their roles as Information Centers and Knowledge Communication Centers. The paper emphasizes the need and importance of transitioning to paperless libraries, citing advantages such as improved accessibility, expanded collections, cost savings, and sustainability. As libraries embrace technology and digital resources, they continue to serve as essential pillars of education, research, and cultural preservation in an ever-changing world.</p> Mahendra Prasad Adhikari Copyright (c) 2023 2023-11-30 2023-11-30 5 1 23 34 10.3126/jfac.v5i1.60297 तवलावादनको क्षेत्रमा लगानी एवम् प्रतिफल: नेपालको सन्दर्भमा https://nepjol.info/index.php/jfac/article/view/60301 <p>तबलावादनको सुरुवात १८ औं शताब्दीका उस्ताद सिद्धार (सुधार) खाँले भारतको दिल्लीमा गरेका थिए । उनले पखावजमा वादन गरिने बोल÷वर्णहरूको आधारमा तबलावादन गरेको तथ्यमा धेरै विद्वानहरूको मतैक्यता रहेको छ । त्यस समयदेखि प्रचलनमा आएको तबला वर्तमान समयमा स्वतन्त्र एवम् सङ्गत गर्नका लागि प्रयोग हुने सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय ताल वाजा हो । तबलावादन अन्तर्गत प्रमुखतः शास्त्रीय एवम् आधुनिक दुईवटा शैली रहेका छन् । शास्त्रीय शैलीको तबलावादन अन्तर्गत गायन, तन्त्र÷स्वर वादन एवम् कत्थक नृत्यमा सङ्गतका रूपमा गरिन्छ भने स्वतन्त्रवादन पनि यस अन्तर्गत पर्दछ । आधुनिक अन्तर्गत समसामयिक रूपमा प्रचलनमा रहेका फ्युजन, रक, ब्लुज आदि सङ्गीत शैलीसँग गरिने वादन पर्दछ । उक्त दुवै शैलीमा सङ्गत गर्दा तबलावादकले अभ्यासका साथै विवेकको प्रयोग गर्नु पर्दछ । यसरी स्वतन्त्र तथा सङ्गीत शैलीहरूसँग उत्कृष्ट तबलावादनका लागि तालीम ग्रहण तथा अभ्यासमा समय लगानी हुन्छ । त्यस्तै उत्कृष्ट वादनका लागि वाद्ययन्त्र पनि गुणस्तरीय हुनुपर्दछ । गुणस्तरीय तबला खरिदका लागि उच्च आर्थिक लगानी गर्नुपर्दछ । यसरी उत्कृष्ट तबलावादनको पृष्ठभूमिमा आर्थिक, वौद्धिक तथा समयको लगानी एक आपसमा अन्तर्सम्बन्धित रहेका हुन्छन् । नेपालका विद्वानहरूद्वारा शास्त्रीय सङ्गीत विषयमा हालसम्म भएको अनुसन्धानद्वारा राणाहरूको समयदेखि विभिन्न दरवार, सङ्गीत अध्यापन एवम् कार्यक्रम हुने स्थानहरूमा स्वतन्त्र एवम् विभिन्न विधाहरूका साथमा तबलावादन हुने तथ्य रहेको छ । नेपालमा तबलावादनको पृष्ठभूमिमा हुने लगानी तथा त्यसबाट उपलब्ध हुने प्रतिफल बारेमा अध्येताले अनुसन्धानात्मक लेख प्राप्त नगरेको हुनाले एउटा प्रयास गरिएको हो । प्रस्तुत लेखबाट नेपालमा तबलावादनलाई पेशागत रूपमा अगाडी बनाउने चाहना भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई यस विषयमा हुने लगानी र प्रतिफल बारेमा जानकारी हुनेछ । प्राथमिक, द्वितीयक, एवम् लेखक तबलावादक भएको हुनाले अनुभवको आधारमा गुणात्मक विधिमा लेख तयार गरिएको छ। </p> Wenkatesh Dhakal Copyright (c) 2023 2023-11-30 2023-11-30 5 1 44 54 10.3126/jfac.v5i1.60301 कार्तिक नाँचमा सङ्गीत अन्तर्गत ताल र वाद्य विश्लेषण https://nepjol.info/index.php/jfac/article/view/60304 <p>प्रस्तुत अनुसन्धान लेखमा कार्तिक नाँचमा सङ्गीत अन्तर्गत ताल र वाद्यको विश्लेषण रहेको छ । गायन, वादन र नृत्य सङ्गीतको तीन विधा जसमा ताल पक्षले महवपूर्ण भूमिका खेलेको हुन्छ । ताल लयमा केन्द्रित रहेको हुन्छ । ताल र लय अनुसार बजाईएको वाद्यबाट आएको (सुर वा स्वर) ध्वनीले साङ्गीतिक माहोलको सृजना गर्दछ । सङ्गीत प्रस्तुतिको उद्देस्य विभिन्न किसिमको हुनसक्दछ । ताललाई वाद्य एवं गानाका साथमा सम्पादन गरिन्छ भने सोही अनुरूपको नृत्य हुने गर्दछ । मल्लकालमा सुरुवात भएको कार्तिक नाँच एक अद्वितीय एवं विभिन्न विशेषताले भरिएको एक मौलिक नाँच जुन आजको दिनसम्म पनि अटूट रूपले चलिआएको छ जसमा नेवाः समुदायमा प्रचलित विभिन्न ताल एवं वाद्यहरुको प्रयोग गरिएको पाईन्छ । प्राथमिक तथा द्वितियक दुवै विधिबाट तथ्य सङ्कलन गरी तयार पारिएको यस अनुसन्धान लेखमा कार्तिक नाँचमा प्रयोग गरिने विभिन्न तालहरुको लिपी (नोटेशन), त्यस तालको विशेषता, कुन नाँचमा कुन तालको प्रयोग तथा केही नेवाः तालको लिपीहरु प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ भने नाँचमा प्रयोग हुने विभिन्न वाद्यको वारेमा संक्षिप्त रुपमा जानकारी, कार्तिक नाँचमा ताल र वाद्यको महत्व एवं कार्तिक नाँचमा ताल र वाद्यको चुनौतीको बारे लेखिएको छ जसले गर्दा कार्तिक नाँचको ताल एवं वाद्यको बारे खोज तथा अनुसन्धान गर्नेहरुको लागि केही आधार मिल्दछ । </p> <p> </p> Swojan Raghubanshi Copyright (c) 2023 2023-11-30 2023-11-30 5 1 55 64 10.3126/jfac.v5i1.60304
