नेपालमा उपशास्त्रीय सङ्गीतको अवस्था

Abstract

शुद्ध शास्त्रीय राग सङ्गीत र लोक–सुगम सङ्गीतको मिश्रणयुक्त गायन वादन विधा नै उपशास्त्रीय सङ्गीत हो । जब विशुद्ध खयाल अङ्गको राग गायन पक्षको सौन्दर्यात्मक सुमधुरता र सिर्जनशिलता अङ्गको मिश्रण अन्य लोक तथा सुगम सङ्गीतका धुनहरुमा गरिन्छ र दुवैको मिश्रितरुप आकर्षक ढङ्गले थोरै शब्द मार्फत विविधतायुक्त स्वर समुहहरुको सुन्दर संयोजन गरि प्रस्तुत गरिन्छ तब उपशास्त्रीय विधाको जन्म हुन्छ । यस किसिमको गायकी तथा वादकी सङ्गीतज्ञको सङ्गीत सम्बन्धी अपार ज्ञान, चिन्तन र सही तालीममा भरपर्छ । कसैले रागको कठोर नियम भित्र रहेर पनि यस विधाको प्रस्तुति गर्छन भने कतिपयले रागको शास्त्रीय नियममा लचिलोपन अपनाई सङ्गीत प्रस्तुति गर्छन् । प्रस्तुत आलेखमा नेपालमा उपशास्त्रीय विधाको विगत र वर्तमान अवस्था, विकासक्रम, यसको व्यावसायिकता, चुनौतीहरु, आगामी रणनीति लगायत यस विधामा भए गरिएका कार्यहरुको बारेमा समेत जानकारी उपलब्ध गराउने कोशिस गरिएको छ । प्राथमिक तथा द्धितियक स्रोत दुवैको यस आलेखमा प्रयोग गरिएको छ ।

The classical music is a singing genre that is a mixture of pure classical raga music and folk-easy music. When the aesthetic melodiousness and creativity of the singing aspect of the pure Khayal organ is mixed with the melodies of other folk and easy music, and the mixture of both is presented in an attractive manner with a beautiful combination of diverse voice groups through a few words, then the classical genre is born. This type of singing and instrumental music depends on the immense knowledge, thinking and proper training of the musician. Some perform this genre within the strict rules of raga, while some perform music by adopting flexibility in the classical rules of raga. In the present article, an attempt has been made to provide information about the past and present status of the classical genre in Nepal, its development, its professionalism, challenges, future strategies, and the work done in this genre. Both primary and secondary sources have been used in this article.
