About the Journal

Aims and Scope

Grande Medical Journal (GMJ) is a bi-annual, open, peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal that encompasses all fields of medicine and clinical practice. GMJ will be published both in print and online. It will be freely accessible via the internet through GIH’s website with open access to the full text of articles. There will be no subscription fees to the readers or processing fees for the authors.

GMJ seeks to publish original, high-quality, peer-reviewed papers including original clinical and editorials, clinical reviews, and correspondence on matters that will provide comprehensive coverage on all aspects and subspecialties of medicine. GMJ will be initially published twice a year with contributions from national and international physicians and scientists.

Peer-Review Process

The journal follows double-blind peer-review process. This is done with the aim to minimize the possibility of a biased opinion when the reviewers know who the authors are and from where they come from, ensuring a responsible and ethical environment.

After editorial board review, the manuscript is sent to one or two external reviewers depending on the manuscript type and content.

Reviewers are given a two-week timeframe to revert to us with the review after agreeing to review the manuscript.

The final decision regarding publication lies with the Editor-in-Chief/ Executive Editors.
