Vol. 14 No. 1 (2025)
This artwork represents the complexity and fragmentation of our mental state throughout different seasons. The varied colors and textures within each segment evoke the emotional shifts that come with seasonal changes—bright and warm hues resembling the vibrancy of summer, deep blues and purples reflecting the introspective nature of winter, and transitions in between that suggest autumn’s melancholy and spring’s renewal. The white speckles scattered across the piece symbolize snow, rain, or stars—reminders of the uncontrollable external factors that influence our inner worlds.
The artwork’s segmentation also mirrors how different people experience seasons uniquely—some may thrive in the vibrancy of summer while others find peace in winter’s stillness. Seasonal changes, though sometimes challenging, are part of a broader cycle of renewal, reflection, and growth.
