Peer Review Process and Reviewers Guidelines

All submitted manuscripts are fully peer-reviewed. BIBECHANA uses a single-blind review process (Anonymous peer review). First, the chief editor screens the submissions to ensure that they are within the scope  of the journal and  are free of plagiarism. The manuscripts are then reviewed by section editors to ensure that they are appropriate. It takes about 10 to 15 days to complete this. The appropriate articles are sent to reviewers for content evaluation.  Generally, we decide the acceptance and rejection of a manuscript on the basis of the report of two reviewers. In some cases three reviewers are used. The reviewers are both local and international experts.

The review process often takes 6 weeks . The authors are given up to 45 days to complete the revisions recommended by the reviewers. It is anticipated that the publication process  of the articles submitted to BIBECHANA be completed in 14 weeks. This process, however, depends on the reviewers' response time and the authors' revision period.

Guidelines for evaluating articles are provided to reviewers. The guidelines will assist reviewers be more specific in their review reports. Reviewers are expected to provide input on the novelty, originality, appropriateness, and validity of the work. It is requested that any invited reviewer who feels they will be unable to evaluate the work presented in an article or understands that timely review would be difficult notify the editors as soon as possible and decline the offer to review so that other reviewers can be invited. Reviewers who agree to review the article must submit their report within 25 days. If the report is not received within the deadline, reviewers are sent gentle remainders.
