About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Sambahak: Human Rights Journal is published by the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal. It publishes articles on Human Rights Issues and articles on traditional and new dimensions of Human Rights.
Publication Frequency
Sambahak publishes two volumes per year.
Open Access Policy
Sambahak: Human Rights Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The articles and matter of this journal can not be reprinted and republished for the commercial purpose, and can not be used without the prior consent of the commission except for intellectual and academic purposes.
For intellectual and academic purposes, necessary portions can be used with proper citation.
Peer Review Policy
Human Rights Journal ‘Sambahak’ publishes original research articles, review papers, and case studies in the field of Human Rights
- The review is double-blind
- Editorial Board of the Journal in consultation with the Advisory Board prepares the list of expert reviewers.
- The articles received by the editorial board will be submitted to the selected reviewers within seven days.
- The reviewers are given the time of 15 days for review.
- The reviewer should provide objective, creative and constructive feedback
- The editorial board selects the reviewer considering expertize, knowledge of the subject matter, qualification, Academic writing and reviewing skill and experience.
- The reviewer should provide feedback on plagiarism and other ethical misconduct
- Clearly provide feedback either
- Publishable, or,
- Publishable with certain (clearly state the amendments) amendments, or,
- Not publishable (rejected)
- The review should be done on the basis of expertize, importance, clarity, simplicity, originality, methodology, language proficiency among others.
- The reviewer should maintain confidentiality about the article reviewed.
- If the reviewer is unable to review within the prescribed time of 15 days, an additional 3 days is provided. If still the article is not received back another reviewer will be selected from the list and 7 days will be provided for review.
- The reviewer unable to review any article will not be given for further reviews and writings.
- After the review, authors will be given seven days for amendment as per the reviewers’
- feedback.
- The review should be on the basis of the basic format
- Title
- Abstract
- Introduction/Background
- Research Questions/Objectives/Literature Review
- Methodology (Sources and Methods)
- Findings/Discussion
- Conclusion/Recommendations (if any)
- References
- Check the use of the American Psychological Association (APA) seventh edition for the citation, referencing and other related formats.
