Ex Post Facto Analysis of Performance of Privatized Enterprise: A Case of Harisiddhi Brick and Tile Factory Ltd.

Abstract

This paper attempts to make an ex post facto analysis, that is the pre-and post- privatization analysis, of a privatized state-owned enterprise, viz. Harisiddhi Brick and Tile Factory Ltd. with the help of some key variables and indicators so that privatization efforts can be properly assessed. The analysis has revealed that its production capacity, production, sales, number of employees and production ranks have increased, while its capacity utilization and profitability substantially decreased.
