About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Nepal Journal of Sociology (NJS) is a peer-reviewed, open access annul publication by the Central Department of Sociology (CDSo) at Tribhuvan University. The CDSo aims to establish the journal as an interdisciplinary social science publication with sociological perspective. It intends to create a premier platform for diverse academic contents inheriting sociological significance, particularly in Nepal and its neighbouring regions. The journal offers an academic space for original research articles, critical and reflective essays, perspectives, commentaries, and critical assessments. Contributions, including person-focused interviews and reviews of books, films, photos, and travels are also encouraged. We accept manuscripts in both Nepali and English.

Nepal Journal of Sociology is published annually.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
