Focus and Scope

Nanomaterials and Polymers Innovations (NαPI) aims to publish all areas of nanomaterials and polymers, including synthesis, modification, applications, and recycling, particularly focusing on their advancements and innovations.

Publication Frequency

NαPI publishes two issues a year.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

There are no submission or processing fees for authors, as we strongly believe in the value of charitable and voluntary contributions to science. Nanomaterials and Polymers Innovations (NαPI) is a diamond open-access, community-driven journal, founded on the belief that volunteer-led, community-governed scientific publishing is essential for a sustainable future and that publishing science is a shared moral responsibility in the stewardship of knowledge.

Peer Review Policy

Submissions will be obtained by the editorial office. The Editor-in-Chief will forward it to the handling editor for a suitability check to assess their suitability for the journal's scope and the novelty of the work. If found suited to the scope and objectives of the journal.

Further actions on evaluations of manuscripts (including sending to three independent reviewers in a double-blind system, communication with authors, on revision or rejection) will be taken care by the handling editor.

The time of the first review process is planned as follows:

  • Suitability of the content in terms of the scope and aims of the journal: within 3 days
  • First review by three independent reviewers: within 30-40 days
  • First decision on the manuscript (revision required, rejected): within 45 days
  • Receiving revised manuscript and acceptance if satisfactory: within 50 days
  • Receiving second revision, if the first round of revision did not deliver satisfactory results: within 60 days.

Note:

  1. All the procedures will be attempted to be performed using the online system.
  2. Emphasis will be put on receiving the revised manuscript from the authors, ready for online publication within two months. However, more time can be allocated if deemed needed on case to case basis.
  3. 5 copies of the journal issue will be printed for the library and official purposes. Offprints will be made available to the authors or organizations on formal application for the same, but the publisher will not bear any costs for it.
  4. Reviewers contributions will be acknowledged by putting their names and affiliations in the journals if they consent to do so. A certificate may be provided as well.
