Mahendra Multiple Campus Research Journal is an annual, peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the support of high-quality scholarly research and intellectual discourse in a wide range of disciplines. It is a forum for original and innovative ideas, findings and critical analysis by researchers, academics, professionals, Teachers, students, policy makers and practitioners in the advancement of academic knowledge and society development.
MMCRJ is a journal with a mission to promote the generation, dissemination, and exchange of knowledge through an accessible, all-encompassing forum for scholarly communication in Nepali and English languages. The journal aims to bring the disciplines together, promote interdisciplinary discussion, and facilitate research that enhances local, national and international solutions.
The journal welcomes papers in any field of social science and humanities, including but not limited to, education, management, economics, science, public policy, language and literature, culture and other fields of emerging research. Original research articles, review papers, book reviews, research reports, and conference proceedings are welcomed by MMCRJ. All papers are peer-reviewed to guarantee the integrity, quality and relevance of the submitted papers.
It is dedicated to scholarly excellence, ethical publishing, and bilingual access, for the academic community and the broader public, advancing research, fostering innovation, and facilitating the dissemination of knowledge, spanning languages and disciplines.
Mahendra Multiple Campus Research Journal (MMCRJ) came out for the first time in 2013 Published by Nepal University teachers Association Mahendra Multiple Campus Unit. Since then it was being regularly published with the second, third and fourth volume 2016. Then it could not be published regularly. The Mahendra Multiple Campus Research Journal, which had become irregular since 2016, is now going to publish its 5th volume as part of an effort to restore its regularity under the publication responsibility of the Research Management Cell (RMC) has expressed established at the campus.
MMCRJ is published annually.
MMCRJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There is no embargo on the journal’s publications.
Authors retain the copyright of their own manuscripts.
The publication policy of the Mahendra Multiple Campus Research Journal is based on the journal guidelines developed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the publication framework developed by Nepal Journals Online (NepJOL), and the standard format of scholarly research articles. The journal will operate within the provisions of the Campus Author Guidelines, Publisher Guidelines, and the Code of Ethics for Research Publication.
Authors submitting manuscripts for publication must comply with all prescribed requirements and procedures. They must provide a self-declaration confirming that the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and prepared in accordance with the artificial intelligence (AI) and plagiarism policies of Tribhuvan University. Furthermore, the manuscript must have successfully completed the required editorial and peer-review processes, including revisions and corrections based on the feedback provided by peer reviewers, before being considered for publication.
All submissions are initially assessed by an Editor, who decides whether the article is suitable for peer review. Submissions considered suitable for peer review are assigned to two or more subject experts, who assess the article for clarity, validity, and sound methodology. If suitable experts external to the journal cannot be found then members of the Editorial Board may be asked to complete a review task.
In cases where it is proving very difficult to find peer reviewers, a member of the journal editorial board or editorial team may be a suitable alternative. In such cases the member of the board/team acting as a reviewer is removed from all other editorial decision making regarding the submission in question so that they cannot unduly influence the process. If contributing their own feedback, the handling editor does so transparently and not under the guise of an anonymous reviewer.
The journal operates an anonymous peer review process, meaning that authors and reviewers do not know each other's identities during the review process. The review period is expected to take around six to eight weeks, although this can vary depending on reviewer availability. Reviewers are asked to provide formative feedback, even if an article is not deemed suitable for publication in the journal.
Based on the reviewer reports the editor will make a recommendation for rejection, revisions, and re-review (major revisions), revisions requested (minor revisions), or acceptance. Overall editorial responsibility rests with the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, who is supported by an expert, international Editorial Board.
Members of the editorial team/board are permitted to submit their own papers to the journal. In cases where an author is associated with the journal, they will be removed from all editorial tasks for that paper and another member of the team will be assigned responsibility for overseeing peer review. A competing interest must also be declared within the submission and any resulting publication.
All listed authors must qualify as such. All authors must have given permission to be listed on the submitted paper.
MMCRJ journal strongly recommends that all authors submitting a paper register an account with Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID). Registration provides a unique and persistent digital identifier for the account that enables accurate attribution and improves the discoverability of published papers, ensuring that the correct author receives the correct credit for their work. As the ORCID remains the same throughout the lifetime of the account, changes of name, affiliation, or research area do not affect the discoverability of an author's past work and aid correspondence with colleagues.
Manuscripts are invited from authors based on clearly defined submission guidelines and standards. All submitted manuscripts undergo AI-generated content detection and plagiarism screening, and only those that meet the prescribed standards are forwarded for peer review. To ensure the quality, transparency, and integrity of the journal, a comprehensive Code of Ethics has been developed. An annual publication schedule has also been established to ensure the regular and timely publication of the journal.
Furthermore, all submitted manuscripts are assigned unique identification codes, and the authors' names are removed before the manuscripts are sent to subject-specific reviewers, following an anonymous peer-review process. A correction matrix has been developed to facilitate revisions based on the reviewers' feedback and the prescribed formatting requirements. Every possible quality assurance measure has been adopted to enhance the overall standard and credibility of the journal.
The primary financial source for the journal is the campus budget. The journal also has a policy of accepting financial support from the University Grants Commission as an institutional contribution toward publication. However, in accordance with the journal's Code of Ethics, it has adopted a policy of rejecting financial support from any other organization if such support is accompanied by conditions that may compromise the journal's editorial independence, academic integrity, or ethical standards.
MMCRJ does not tolerate abusive behaviour or correspondence towards its staff, academic editors, authors, or reviewers. Any person engaged with the journal who resorts to abusive behaviour or correspondence will have their contribution immediately withdrawn and future engagement with the journal will be at the discretion of the editor and/or publisher.
