About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Lokadarpana is published by Pandit Shree Loknath Luitel Smriti Pratisthan, Dharan, Sunsari as a half yearly multidisciplinary peer reviewed research journal with the aim of enhancing academic capability including creative, critical and analytical articles. It promotes academic researchers on all aspects of social issues. Lokadarpana focuses on the publication of research articles based on various classical, modern subjects under sanskritvangmaya, oriental and occidental philosophies, modern science, history, geography, political economy, nutrition etc. This journal provides academic services to the scholars of various subjects and its readers.
It also intends to make the research work up-to-date using high level of knowledge and to continuously develop and promote in the field of philosophy and sociology. It publishes original articles written in Sanskrit, Nepali, English and Hindi languages on the following disciplines:
- Sanskrit Vangmaya
- Eastern Philosophy
- Western Philosophy
- Ancient science
- Modern science
- Literature
- Linguistics
- Social science etc.
- Political economy etc.

Lokadarpana is published two times a year.
Open Access Policy
Lokadarpana provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Cost of Hard Copies
Hard copies are charged 150/- NPR per copy.
Peer Review Policy
When a manuscript is received, it is screened thoroughly to evaluate that it is within the scope of the journal and prepared according to the format. Manuscripts that fail to conform to the requirements of the journal, as specified under “Instructions to Authors”, will be rejected. Those manuscripts that meet the specified requirements of the journals are subsequently assigned to an Editor for further processing.
All manuscripts will be forwarded to the concerned subject experts for blind peer review. Information on acceptance or rejection of the paper will immediately be given to the authors after the report of the peer reviewer. The accepted paper will be queued and given the place for publication in the current volume of the journal or upcoming volume. Manuscripts are prioritized by the editorial board based on the quality of the manuscript. The decision of the editorial board will be the final decision to publish the paper in the current volume or in the upcoming volume.
The accepted articles are edited for grammatical, punctuation, print style and format errors and page proofs and are sent to the corresponding author who should return them within three days. Non-response to galley proof may result in the delay of publication or even rejection of the article.
