About the Journal
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Population and Development is an interdisciplinary journal published Annually. The main purpose of this journal is to provide a regular forum for the publication of research articles concerning population and development studies. It focuses on contemporary issues of demography that contribute to academic, intellectual and scientific knowledge at national and international level. This journal offers articles from responsible, qualified and experienced scholars in the related sectors. It attempts to build creativity, analytical and logical reasoning skills of the authors, writers and scholars. This journal supports those readers who are pursuing knowledge of population and development studies. Furthermore, they will get insights on population, human development, population policies and theories, gender, population projection, women’s empowerment etc. The knowledge, ideas and views of the research articles are mainly concerned with the individual authors and the editorial board does not directly reflect any of the its own ideas and perceptions related to the articles.
Publication Frequency
The journal is publishes one issue a year.
Open Access
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Peer-Review Process
The journal has a Peer-Review Committee composted of five highly-reputed university professors who were nominated to review the articles within a two-month time frame. The authors are then offered a chance to review their research articles according to the feedback and comments of the reviewers. A single professor is appointed to review each article. After submitting the research articles with reviewers’ feedback and comments, the editorial board recommends whether or not to publish in the journal.
