About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Journal of Economics Students (JoESS) is an annual publication of Economic Students’ Society (ECOSS), Central Department of Economics (CEDECON), Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. JoESS invites scholarly articles from students, professionals, researchers, and academicians on the issue of economic science. The primary objective of JoESS is to publish articles and research papers on economic issues of Nepal along with other countries in the world.

The Journal of Economics Students is published annually.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The articles published in the Journal of Economics Students are licenced under a CC-BY 4.0 DEED Attribution 4.0 International licence. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.

Peer Review Policy

The manuscripts are submitted to the ECOSS Journal Committee headed by the managing editor through official email.

Journal of Economics Students (JoESS) follows a double blind system of peer review. Each manuscript is initially accessed by ECOSS Journal Committee for basic guideline and suitability review. The Journal Committee can reject, if the manuscript is not suitable based on theme of the Journal. The Author will receive email within 10 days for rejection or acceptance for further review proceeding. Acceptance is conditional on revision made by the author(s) as per the request.

The manuscript is then sent to the editorial board without disclosing the author’s identity for initial review of quality and suitability. The editorial board might reject the manuscript, request author for revision, or accept for further review. The editorial board will send the manuscript to an advisor based on expertise for further review after revisions made by author as per editors' request.

Author of accepted manuscript is required to send final editable files and might also be required to send other materials for proofs before final publication.

The Editorial board has final responsibility for deciding the publication of manuscript in the journal.

In case of revision required, authors are required to send revised manuscript within three month of decision made by editors.
