Abstract

This article aims to analyze the influence of socialist legal system in Nepal. The Supreme law of Nepal; Constitution, along with other laws and the legal system of the nation have been influenced by various legal systems of the world. The major legal system being Religious Law, Common Law, Civil Law and Socialist Law System has had several impacts in the formation of laws, setting the precedents, and overall, the management of the government. The Socialist Legal System is also known as the modification to the Civil Legal System with an identity of its own aims on the welfare state, collective ownership and ultimately the socialism oriented nation. Nepal has adopted several features from socialist legal system which is the finding of the study. The article highlights the concept of legal systems focusing on the socialist legal system and its influence in the Nepalese legal system.
