Focus and Scope

ज्ञानदिप Gyandeep is a peer reviewed journal published by the Nepali Department, Mahendra Multiple Campus, Dharan, Nepal. It focuses on Nepali language and literature. It serves thos scholars who are involved in exploring the knowledge on Nepali language and literature issues.

Open Access Policy

ज्ञानदिप Gyandeep provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Price of Hard Copies

The price of hard copy is NRC. 300/- (2.50 USD) for individuals.
NRC. 400/- (3.00 USD) for institutions.

Procedures for journal publication

When publishing from the Nepali Department of Mahendra Multiple Campus, the Journal Editorial Committee will complete the following procedures:

  1. Nepali Department of Mahendra Multiple Campus will take responsibility for the journal publication and this Department will invite articles from the teachers and staff of the campus, educational institutions, scholars, researchers, and students.
  2. An article writing guide will be provided when the Nepali Department invites articles.
  3. The Journal Editing Committee will be formed and assigned the responsibility of editing.
  4. After collecting the articles, the editorial committee will study the articles and provide preliminary suggestions to the authors as needed.
  5. The editorial committee will refine the article according to the initial suggestions from the authors and prepare it for expert review.
  6. Based on expertise, topic and area of the article, the editorial committee for review of the article a list of reviewers will be prepared.
  7. The editorial committee will code the Name of the Author for a single blindfold review.
  8. The Editorial Committee appoints reviewers and provides the document for review and evaluation on a confidential basis.
  9. While providing articles to the reviewers, evaluation guidelines, evaluation forms, and article writing guidelines will be provided.
  10. The editorial committee will send back the document received from the reviewer to the author to edit the article with suggestions.
  11. The suggestions sent by reviewers will remain on record confidentially.
  12. The article must be re-sent to the editing committee by author within the prescribed time limit incorporating suggestions made or editing their articles.
  13. The editorial committee will study and evaluate the articles that have been refined and sent by the authors based on the suggestions given by the reviewers.
  14. If problems are found during the study and evaluation by the editing committee, it will be sent to previous reviewers for re-evaluation.
  15. The decision on whether or not to approve articles will be made by the meeting of the Editorial Committee.
  16. The Editorial Committee will decode the name of the author of accepted articles.
  17. After completing the editing of the articles, the editorial committee will decide and edit the format, color, part or section, etc. of the journal in cooperation and coordination with the publisher.
  18. After completing all these tasks, the editorial committee will hand over the journal to the publisher for printing and publication.
  19. The Nepali Department will proceed with the process in the central library for obtaining the digital identifier of an object-doi of the article and the author.
  20. The journal will be published after receiving the digital identifier of an object-doi from the central library.
  21. The Nepali Department of Mahendra Multiple Campus will print the journal physically, and publish on NepJOL and campus website.

Sources of Support

Mahendra Multiple Campus provides some funds to the Nepali Departmen annually for the publication of journals. Another fund is managed by the Nepali Department.
