About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Eastern Green Neurosurgery is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Department of Neurosurgery, B& C Medical College Teaching Hospital, Birtamode, Jhapa, Nepal. This journal was established in April 2019 and withhold the educational publication in the field of neurosurgery and its allied subjects. EGN publishes original articles, review articles, case reports and technical notes.
In this journal, there are approximately 10 articles published in each issue and there are 2 publications per year (MAR and SEP). Our policy is to ensure that Eastern Green Neurosurgery will hold the highest ethical standards and will keep pace with the advancement in the field of neurosurgery and its allied subjects. The official language of the journal is American/ British English. The Journal has its ISSN and is indexed in the Nepal Journal Online (NepJOL) part of JOL. The DOI number for each article is provided by NepJOL. The journal can also be accessed from the URL: https://www.nepjol.info/index.php/egn/index. The articles published in this journal are completely free and open access. But, the one using the articles published in this journal follows the norms of copyright as per Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) 4.0 International License. This license allows re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.

Peer-Review Process
The article once submitted by the author will first undergo review in the editorial office. The non-allied neurosurgical topics will be promptly returned to the author without further review. The accepted article will undergo a plagiarism check using online software. Articles having suspected plagiarism will be dealt with by COPE’S (committee on publication ethics) flowchart, otherwise, the article will go the desk of Editor-in-Chief.
Editor-in-Chief will assign the article to two peer reviewers without author information. National or international reviewers will be assigned based on the expertise of the reviewer based on the subject. The peer-review process will be completed by 2-4 weeks from the date of submission.
The article then will be sent back to the corresponding author for appropriate correction. Once the author resubmits the article, the final review is done by Editor-in-Chief. Then the article will be sent for publishable formatting, whose softcopy will be sent to the corresponding author for final review and license to publish the article will be taken before proceeding for publication via email notification.
Publication Frequency
Eastern Green Neurosurgery publishes twice issues a year (March and September).
Open Access Policy
The current policy of the journal is free hard copy as well as free online articles. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Processing Charges
There are no processing charges for publication of an article in the journal .
