Aims of Journal

Bheshaja: Journal of Central Ayurveda Campus is a peer reviewed, open access journal published by Research Management Cell, Central Ayurveda Campus, Dang, Nepal. It aims to publish high-quality research and scholarly works in the fields of Ayurveda and other traditional medical systems, as well as to promote the utilization of the hidden healing treasures that these systems possess. The magazine is established to provide as a prominent forum for scholars, researchers, and professionals to promote innovative study findings, critical criticisms, and creative approaches in related field to a global public.

Scopes of Journal

This journal publishes a diverse range of content, including original research articles, review papers, case studies, and clinical reports written by medical researchers, practitioners, and scholars. It seeks high-quality papers from a wide range of medical disciplines. The key areas include (but are not limited to):

  1. Core Ayurvedic Sciences: Basic Ayurvedic Concepts, Sharir Rachana Vigyan) Ayurvedic Anatomy), Sharir Kriya Vigyan (Ayurvedic Physiology), Dravyaguna (Ayurvedic pharmacognosy and pharmacology), Rasa Shastra and Bhaisajya Kalpana, Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine), Shalyatantra (Surgery), Stri-Prasuti Vigyan (Gynaecology and Obstetrics) etc.
  2. Evidence based Traditional Medicine: Clinical trials, Case studies, comparative studies of various traditional medical systems for bridging the gap between traditional wisdom and contemporary validation.
  3. Ethnobotany and Indigenous knowledge: Documentation and proper evaluation of folklore healing practices of indigenous communities.
  4. Public health and epidemiology: Exploring the life style practices, dietary regimes, daily routines, seasonal protocols in relation to prevention and promotion of public health and role of Ayurveda in national health programs.
  5. Integrative and Translational Research: Bridging Traditional Medicines with Modern Science, Evaluation of integrative medicine in management of specific diseases.
  6. Education, Policy and Health Systems: Education policies in Traditional Medicines, Health policy and system integration, Role of Ayurveda and other Traditional medical systems in global health contexts.

Open Access Policy

Bheshaja: Journal of Central Ayurveda Campus journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Cost of Hard Copies

Hard copies are free of cost but postal charges might be applied for delivering it to the address.

Peer Review Process

Authors submitting work may expect thorough reviews from experts in the field, ensuring that only the most accurate and impactful article is published.

  1. Author submits the manuscript to the journal via email rmc.cac80@gmail.com.
  2. The Editorial team reviews the scope and format of the article in accordance with the journal Author Guidelines to ascertain that it includes the necessary components and recommended format.  This also helps to ensure that the work is appropriate for the journal and is sufficiently innovative and interesting. If not, the article may be rejected before being evaluated further.
  3. This journal uses double-blind reviewing, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise and experience in the relevant field, ensuring valuable comments that encourages authors to make improvements and further develop their work.
  4. Reviewers are suggested to evaluate the article's originality, structural frame, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of results and support for the conclusions, and appropriate referencing of previous relevant studies.
    Reviewer will give the status:
    • Accepted without any changes
    • Rejected
    • Accepted with minor changes
    • Accepted with major changes
  5. When the reviewers recommend a revision, the author(s) are required to make the requested changes to their article, taking into account of their specific feedback and ideas, and then resubmit the revised version of the article within a week.
  6. Articles that are rejected for publication are not returned to the authors. Reviewers are asked to finish their reviews within three weeks in order to enable timely publication. The Editor-in-Chief takes a final decision regarding the article's acceptability based on the reviewers' comments and the editorial teams' suggestions.  The authors are notified of this decision together with the reviewers' reports.
  7. The authors must submit the signed copyright transfer form that the editor provides for papers that are accepted. After then, the article is considered for publishing.
