About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Nepalese Journal of Radiology was launched on 17th February 2012 during the inaugural ceremony of 5th SAARC Congress of Radiology (SCR-2012). This journal aims to provide opportunity of sharing knowledge and experience amongst the Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Physicists, Radiologic Technologist as well as help to disseminate findings of research/achievements to these personnel at home and abroad. Articles are published under the following categories: Original Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports, Pictorial essay, The Editorial and Letter to the editor are solicited by the editorial board.
Peer Review Process
The manuscripts are sent online to two experts peer reviewers who may be national or international. They are blinded to the contributor’s identity and vice versa for meticulous review, inputs and comments in the questionnaire format. The final decision on whether to accept or reject the article are taken by the editorial board based on the peer reviewer’s comments within three months. The contributor’s are informed about the rejection/acceptance of the manuscript with the peer reviewer’s comments. Accepted articles have to be resubmitted after making the necessary changes or clarifying questions made during the peer review process within one month.
Plagiarism Policy
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this has been appropriately cited or quoted. The similarity score shows the percentage of plagiarized content in a research paper. We examine our submitted manuscripts using "iThenticate". We recommend reviewers in the peer review process thoroughly check and control the similarities and guide authors to avoid similarities with other published materials

Nepalese Journal of Radiology is a biannual publication.
Processing Fees
Nepalese Journal of Radiology does not charge for article submission and processing.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The open-access articles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which allows for unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.
