Abstract

Two types of granitoid bodies are found more or less concordant, leucocratic to sub-leucocratic two mica granitoids of the Dailekh and the Marma Khola-Pasgar Nala, showing diverse textural types are the plutonic granitoid intrusives predating thrusting episodes. During the thrust movements these granitoids were mobilized along the thrust planes and have undergone considerable mineralogical and textural changes depending upon the intensity of shearing and the degree of metamorphism accompanying thrusting.

The small localised Ramolagaon Granitoid in the brecciated zones showing lateral gradation from the brecciated country rocks to the granitoid rocks are the thrust related Alpine granitoids essentially of metasomatic origin.
