Hydrology, hazardAbstract
Large-scale (1:25,000) integrated hydrological hazard mapping was carried out in the Rupandehi district of west Nepal. The main hazard types in the study area were landslides, debris flows, floods, bank undercutting, and inundation. The maps were prepared on the basis of field observation of damages and hazards as well as using available topographic maps, digital data, satellite imageries, and aerial photographs. The information gathered was digitised and analysed using mainly ArcView and ILWIS GIS systems and HEC-RAS.Abstract
