Violation of Publication Ethics and Integrity by the Authors
Dear colleagues,
We are writing to bring to your attention an issue concerning a manuscript submitted to the IJOSH. The authors Sina Temesgen (Sinatem3@gmail.com), Liku Muche Temesgen (likumuche@gmail.com), and Shibiru Temesgen (shibru@gmail.com) submitted a manuscript titled “A Systematic Review of Global Occupational Health and Safety Outcomes Among Sanitary Workers” on June 13, 2022. The submission underwent several rounds of rigorous peer review over the course of eight months before it was finally accepted by our journal. However, following acceptance, the authors became unresponsive and did not acknowledge any of our communications.
While reviewing backlogged submissions, the journal editors discovered that this manuscript had been published in another journal (https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/public-health/articles/10.3389/fpubh.2023.1304977/full) without any notification to us or a formal withdrawal from our journal. This raises concerns about the integrity and transparency of the submission process. Ensuring the integrity of the publication process is of utmost importance to our journal. Hence, the editorial board considered it a serious violation of publication ethics and integrity by the Authors and has decided to bar all these authors from submitting their research work to our journal in the future.
