The International Journal of Occupational Safety and Health (IJOSH) is pleased to announce a forthcoming Special Edition entitled "Occupational and Environmental Health: Challenges, Innovations, and Policy Perspectives". This issue aims to highlight contemporary developments, scientific research, and policy insights at the intersection of occupational and environmental health.
This Special Edition is curated by faculty members and Teaching Partners from the Department of Public Health Policy at the University of West Attica (UNIWA), a hub of academic activity in occupational safety and health. The Guest Editors welcome scholarly contributions that explore emerging challenges, innovations, and policy frameworks affecting workers and environments globally.
Key Themes
We invite original research papers, reviews, case studies, and policy analyses on (but not limited to) the following thematic areas:
1. Occupational Health and Safety: Challenges and Innovations
Trends in fatal occupational accidents
Health and safety of healthcare professionals, including staff in endoscopic departments
Mental health and burnout in high-pressure clinical settings
Ergonomic innovations and organizational approaches to workplace safety
2. Environmental Health: Implications of Climate Change and Resource Management
Water resources under the climate crisis and its impact on occupational and public health
Flood events and drinking water safety
The nexus of climate change and occupational risk management

Peer Review Procedure
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring rigorous evaluation and confidentiality for authors and reviewers alike.
Publication Fee
To support the costs of editorial processing, peer review management, and online hosting, a publication fee of 200 EUR per accepted paper will apply. This fee will be requested only upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication.
