भवानी भिक्षुको "हारजित" कथामा लैङ्गिकता {Sexuality in the Short Story “Defeat into Victory”}

Abstract

लैङ्गिक साहित्य सिद्धान्तका क्षेत्रमा आधारित प्रस्तुत अध्ययनमा भवानी भिक्षुद्वारा लिखित हारजित कथाको लैङ्गिक विश्लेषण गरिएको छ । निर्दिष्ट कथालाई लैङ्गिक अध्ययनका आधारअन्तर्गत नारीवाद, पुलिङ्गता, सामाजिक लिङ्गभेद तथा पितृसत्ता र शरीर राजनीतिका कोणबाट अध्ययन गर्नु प्रस्तुत अध्ययनको उद्देश्य हो । अध्ययनमा गुणात्मक विधि, व्याख्यावादी दृष्टिकोण, लैङ्गिक सिद्धान्त र पाठ विश्लेषणको ढाँचालाई आधार बनाइएको छ । यसका लागि पुस्तकालय कार्यमा आधारित भई प्राथमिक र द्वितीयक स्रोतबाट आवश्यक तथ्य सङ्कलन गरिएको छ । तथ्यलाई लैङ्गिक अध्ययनका आधारमा केन्द्रित रही विश्लेषण र छलफल गरिएको छ । पूर्व अध्येतासँग संवाद गर्दै साक्ष्यद्वारा प्राज्ञिक जिज्ञासाको खोजी गरिएको छ । अध्ययनमा तर्कलाई लम्बीय र क्षितिजीय आधारमा प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ । प्राप्त तथ्यका आधारमा कथामा महतिनी, सोनवा, रतियाजस्ता नारीहरूको पहिचान र प्रतिनिधित्व भए पनि उनीहरूका आवाज सशक्त बन्न सकेका छैनन् । अलगुवा महतोको गोज्याङ्ग्रो छोराले पनि आफ्नो पहिचान र आवाजलाई सचेत रूपमा उपयोग गर्न सकेको देखिँदैन । कथामा पितृसत्ता र सामाजिक लिङ्गभेदको अवस्था प्रबल देखिन्छ । कथामा पुरुष मात्र होइन, महतिनीजस्ता नारीहरूमा पनि पितृसत्ता र सामाजिक लिङ्गभेदको प्रभाव पाइन्छ । कथामा रतिया र सोनवामा शरीर राजनीतिको प्रवेश भए पनि त्यस भावनाले सम्मान पाउन सकेको छैन । यसर्थ हारजित कथा लैङ्गिक अध्ययनका दृष्टिले सफल देखिन्छ ।

{Drawing insights from the gender studies, this paper aims to analyze Bhawani Bhikshu’s short story “Defeat into Victory” from the feminist perspective. In this analysis, the paper considers feminism, gender inequality, and body politics as its theoretical insights. The study adopts qualitative research design, using both primary and secondary sources. The text has been analyzed and discussed, highlighting on the insights of gender studies. To identify the study’s issue, past studies have been analyzed and discussed in the paper. Based on the collected information, the identity of women like Mahatini, Sonawa and Ratiya are represented in the narrative though their voices are not clearly heard. Similarly, the slow-witted son of Alguwa Mahato has not shown his identity and voice in a proper way. In the story, there are impacts of patriarchy and gender inequality on the character of Mahatini. Although there is body politics in the characters of Ratiya and Sonawa, it is not discussed sufficiently. Therefore, this narrative is successful from the feminist perspective.}
