Peer Review Process

NJE uses a double blinded review process. Two reviewers are involved in the review of each article. The review generally takes one month. Final decision is made by the Chief Editor.

  1. Call for Articles
    • Nepalese Journal of Economics initiates the process by calling for articles on our campus website and social media platforms, specifically targeting submissions related to management, business, and economics.
  2. Anonymizing Submissions
    • Upon receiving the articles, we encode them to conceal the identities of the authors and their affiliations, ensuring an unbiased review process.
  3. Desk Review
    • Our panel of reviewers, available at the campus, conducts a desk review. This involves:
      1. Checking for adherence to our standards of styles and formats.
      2. Ensuring the articles meet our initial quality criteria.
      3. Determining the submitted manuscripts are plagiarism free.
  1. Communication with Authors
    • The Head of the Management Research Department (MRD) communicates the results of the desk review to the corresponding authors.
    • Authors are requested to resubmit their revised articles within a stipulated time frame.
  2. Peer Review
    • Once the revised articles are received, they are forwarded to a panel of reviewers specializing in the respective study areas.
    • Reviewers provide detailed feedback on the articles.
  3. Author Revisions
    • The feedback is communicated to the corresponding authors, who are again requested to revise their articles within a stipulated time.
  4. Verification of Revisions
    • Upon receiving the revised articles, the Editorial Committee cross-verifies to ensure that changes have been incorporated according to the reviewers’ feedback.
    • The articles are then forwarded to the same reviewers for final approval.
  5. Acceptance and Printing
    • If the reviewers accept the revised articles, they are sent to the press for printing.
    • The acceptance is communicated to the authors.
  6. Final Review
    • The press copy undergoes a final cross-verification by an internal reviewer to ensure accuracy and quality.
  7. Publication
    • Once the final review is complete and the DOI for each article is received, the journal is printed and distributed.

This process ensures that all submissions are thoroughly reviewed, revised, and meet our high standards before publication.
