Abstract

This study examines youth perceptions of green investment in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Nepal, in light of increasing environmental challenges and the growing importance of sustainable finance. Employing a quantitative research design, primary data were collected from 400 respondents using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression techniques in SPSS. The findings reveal that youth generally possess positive attitudes toward green investment, with environmental concern being the most influential factor. Awareness of green investment concepts is moderate, whereas financial knowledge regarding policies, rules, and investment mechanisms remains low. Regression analysis indicates that opportunities for green investment, social influence and awareness significantly shape youth perception, explaining 65.1% of the variance. The study highlights the critical role of financial literacy, policy support, and accessible investment opportunities in enhancing sustainable investment engagement among Nepalese youth. These insights inform policymakers, financial institutions, and educational organizations in promoting environmentally responsible investment practices.
