About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Nepalese Studies is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Nepal Academy that publishes articles on interdisciplinary issues related to language, literature, culture, social sciences, and philosophy related to Nepal. Initially launched as a biannual publication, it produced three issues before being renamed the Journal of Nepalese Art and Culture. Following the separation of art from the Nepal Academy and a desire to include additional disciplines such as language, literature, culture, social sciences, and philosophy, the Academic Council decided at its meeting on 2075.09.02 to reinstate the original title, Journal of Nepalese Studies.
