Abstract

Migration is the social and spatial movement of human population. This study has been confined to the identification of the causes of in-migration and its impact on the people of Chainpur Bazar of Sankhuwasava district. The study is based on primary data collected through field survey and focused group discussion. Altogether 67 household units were sampled for data collection. The study found that more women and children were involved in-migration and the major cause of migration was for getting quality education opportunity for the children.
