Abstract

The aim of this paper is to establish a common fixed point theorem for two pairs of compatible mapping by altering distances between the points under a ¢-contractive condition. In this paper, we employ a control function that unifies the choice of control function in Sastry and Babu [10] and Sastry et al. [11], and so extend the results of Sastry et. al. [11]. Also, our results improve the results of Pant et. al. [8]. Pant and Jha [9].
