Histopathological examination revealed multifocal, granulomatous, portal phlebitis in the liver, multifocal, granulomatous, peri-portal hepatitis with marked portal and perisinusoidal fibrosis, and multifocal granulomatous colitis with intralesional Schistosoma eggs. To our knowledge, this is the first report of cecocolic intussusception in an Asian elephant associated with Schistosoma infection.

Int J Appl Sci Biotechnol, Vol 3(4): 744-746
}, number={4}, journal={International Journal of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology}, author={Karawita, A.C. and Rajapakse, R.C. and Amarasiri, P.G.I.D. and Ramanayake, R.M.T.M. and Jayaweera, W.R. and Bollinger, Trent K. and Gunawardena, G.S.P.De.S.}, year={2015}, month={Dec.}, pages={744–746} }
