Background
Nepal Journal of Science and Technology is the first journal brought out by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). The publication is envisaged to serve as a forum for dissemination of results and achievements of various research and development (R&D) activities carried out in various fields of science and technology (S&T), viz. agriculture and animal sciences, biological sciences, engineering and technology, environment and nature conservation, forestry, health and medicine, physical sciences, etc.

Instructions to contributors
Nepal Journal of Science and Technology publishes original papers, short notes and review articles in all fields of science and technology. Preference will be given to the works related to Nepal. Papers published in this journal become the property of NAST.

Submission of papers

Sub-titles should be avoided. An abstract must be included, which should be of about 150-200 words reporting concisely on the purpose, methodology and results of the paper. For research papers, the text should normally consist of five sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and References. Authors are suggested to use Times font for the text and Helvetica for figures as far as practicable.

Manuscripts are submitted to reviewers for evaluation of their significance and soundness. Authors will generally be notified of acceptance, rejection, or need for revision within three months. Decisions of the Editor-in-Chief are final.

Revised manuscripts with an electronic copy on disk (MS Word or IBM compatible using WordPerfect) should be submitted within prescribed time as notified.

Manuscripts should be in English. Linguistic usage should be correct. Authors are advised to write in a clear style. The International System of Units (meters, kilograms) should be used for all measurements.

Acknowledgements must be placed after the main text and before the references.

Illustrations
Tables and figures must be presented in separate pages. Each table and figure must be clearly numbered and the name(s) written on the back in pencil. Legends should be typed on a separate sheet.
