About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Nepal Journal of Forestry is published two times yearly by Nepal Foresters' Association (NFA), which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of dignity and professionalism of Nepalese foresters through enhanced scope of sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, watershed management, better forest governance and forest-based poverty reduction. The goal of the journal is to provide a forum for innovative and scholarly works in forests, forestry, foresters and folks (people). The journal's interests cover a wide range of Nepalese and South Asian issues from research findings in forest-based natural and social sciences including forest management, forest economics, political ecology, forest governance, biodiversity conservation, watershed management, agro-forestry, payment for environmental services (PES), forest policies and forest-based poverty reduction. The journal includes original professional and research articles, critical reviews of books and short technical communications.
